ABOUT – Tilt

Tilt was founded in 1996 by Valia Skourtsi (a journalist who had the time of her life in East Village, New York, during the 80s) and George Karanikolas (a songwriter and guitar player; founding member of the legendary greek rock band The Last Drive, and headman of the bands Blackmail, BLML, and most recently Omega-Ray).
It was the first store in Athens that was devoted to comics, and soon became a cult spot. What makes it still special is the diversity of products it carries. Whether you’re looking for a major superhero story or a self-publication by a newcomer, chances are you’ll find it on our colorful shelves. Figures and statues, t-shirts, original art, whatever will make your world more fascinating, can be found here. And even if it’s not on our shelves, we’ll do our best to get it for you.
Every now and then, we organize special events; workshops, exhibitions and signings by the best greek comics artists, and, of course, themed sales for our loyal customers. We like to think of our store as the ultimate gate to Comic’s Heaven.
